Position Overview:

In this role the Accounting Coordinator will perform various accounting functions in support of the Accounts Receivable and Payable teams. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel, detail oriented, and have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. While this is a support role, it is expected that the Accounting Coordinator will have the ability and the drive to manage projects independently and process build.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily Cash Application
  • Process, submit, and review Direct Import documents for payment
  • Maintain Customer Allowances within ERP system
  • Set up new customer accounts
  • Collections letters and phone calls as required
  • Reconciling CIA customer balances
  • Submit monthly statements to customers
  • Process electronic vendor payments via A/P system as requested
  • Perform zero-balance reconciliations in A/R and A/P systems
  • Assist with document collections for year-end and banking audits
  • Additional tasks assigned by AR Manager or Accounting Director

Job Requirements:

Skills and Qualifying Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting, Economics or a related field
  • Candidate should possess 1-2 years of experience in general accounting or collection.
  • Must have good problem solving skills and be detail oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills required
  • Good mathematical and analysis skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups a plus)
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing scenarios
  • Ability to work in high volume department
